Thank you for visiting Healing For Good! Healing For Good is a stress relief, emotional wellness and integrative life coaching practice established by Amber Finnell in 2013. Utilizing tools from Energy Psychology such as EFT Tapping, NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming), Eye-patterning, and Quantum Physics, just to name a few, she ‘surrounds the dragon’ globally to help clients release the biology of stress, in whatever form it may be manifesting. It is Amber’s passion and purpose to offer progressive alternatives that equip people with the ability to heal from past pain and false beliefs, and maintain inner calm and confidence as they gain the skills needed to move forward on the path of their choosing.

What to expect from an individual session with me
After your initial session, a typical session starts with checking in on you and your life…what’s going well, what’s troubling you, physically, emotionally, mentally, etc.
We will then usually assess each issue to figure out what’s the most pressing thing to be worked on. We also take a moment to test our work from the last session to see if anything has changed while being exposed the real life triggers that created the issue.
At that point we will get to work using whatever combination of tools is appropriate. Depending on the depth and breadth of the issue we are working on, and the pace you are most comfortable with, we will either take the edge off, or we will clear it completely*. I usually incorporate calming, meditative intervals throughout these sequences. We will then re-assess your intensity level on the topic at hand and proceed accordingly. This is where things can become playful, seeing what your favorite technique is, and which things clear your issues the quickest.
We are always assessing the degree to which the issue has cleared right then and there during the session, which is very exciting. The really cool thing is that with some of the techniques I use, things continue to process in the background even after the session is over. You don’t have to wait a week, a month, or a year to see the benefits. It is an amazing to be a part of.
If time allows, I like to wrap things up with a calming meditation, and since our body systems are integrated (mental, emotional, physical, spiritual), it’s always interesting to re-assess issues you may have identified at the beginning, just to see what spilled over (i.e. the pain in your shoulder is now a 3, but was a 7 on a 1-10 scale when we started), although it was never addressed directly in the work we did.
The beauty of this work is that it can be entirely content free, which is amazing to me. There’s no need to go through the trauma again to release and heal it. I’ve watched miracles happen before my eyes; I’ve seen heavy burdens lifted, and paradigms shifted. It’s an amazing experience to hold that space for someone and be a part of their process, as they re-write their future story. I’m humbled every time. This work has been as much a gift to me as it is to others, and I’m forever grateful.
*we may be working on one very large issue, such as a trauma or PTSD, which require a little more time. Either way, this work is very gentle, allowing trauma and PTSD to be cleared without having to go through the trauma again.
Why would I need multiple sessions?
You can get a lot from one session. It’s exciting because you can often experience tangible results in your very first session. And, if you’re self-motivated and action-oriented, it’s possible to carry on what you learn in that session into the rest of your life, which is awesome! Most of us, however, need help in being able to see through our own fog.
Scheduling regular sessions can be very helpful in cutting through your fog and healing yourself as a whole. None of us was born with a guidebook to teach us how to properly process our emotions so they wouldn’t just get stuffed inside only to pop up in our faces later, like a beachball under water. We’ve all been collecting baggage for our whole lives, in many areas, and most of us are so used to it that we don’t realize the ways it hinders us. Creating a regular practice of cleaning out that junk to live a life filled with joy and freedom takes time.
In addition, most of us are used to handling things in our own ways, which can sometimes be ineffective. We’ve each got our own methods. Some eat to drown their sorrows. Some sleep to placate their wounds. Some drink or smoke or shop. Some complain. The list goes on and on. These things just become second nature, and we do them without giving them a second thought, let alone ask ourselves if they serve us in a positive way.
Regular sessions work to clear out the weeds of our old baggage, and plant the seeds for what you actually want in your life. They help you to remember that you have incredibly effective tools at your fingertips, and teach you how to use them effectively. You’ll remember what it’s like to hope again, and feel excited for your future, knowing that it’ll be brighter and more enriching. Of course it’s possible to do all of that on your own, but having me guide you through the process makes it quicker and easier.

The standard first session is two hours long so that we can develop your history and background information. Before the session you will receive an email asking what you want to accomplish during your sessions, along with some questions that will give me some good insights, in order to find the best treatment strategy for you.
